My client is a Market Leading Retailer serving customers with both convenience items and impulse purchases. We are seeking a Buying Manager exposed to either FMCG or volume specialty retail to take ownership of a number of categories and lead a driven buying team.

Your key functions will include

  • Managing end to end supplier relationships including promotional strategies, space planning spend and rebates
  • Developing seasonal and core ranges in conjunction with category buyers
  • Sourcing and identifying new product offers and category development
  • Working in conjunction with supply chain/logistics, retail operations and additional key stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of category buyers
We are looking for an experience buyer with a passion for delivering ranges that exceed business expectation and delight stakeholders. Committed to building and nurturing a team, you will be a natural leader, a strong communicator and results driven. This role is highly commercial, the ideal candidate will be just as comfortable presenting to the executive team as you would be coaching a junior buyer.
